“It does not seem so bad at the moment, maybe things will just improve on their own…” Quite often the first time someone emails or calls is when they are having a really bad day, week or month. They see something about Thrive, and they give us a call. Even making the call or sending the email gives relief – you have done something! You have taken action and you feel empowered. Maybe things are not so bad. Maybe you don’t need the program.
THRIVE now! I went through this phase too… When we delve further, things have improved before, but in over ten, twenty, or thirty years the anxiety has not gone away.
“I am just too busy right now.” It can feel as though we are too busy, but that is because a lot of our thinking power is taken up with agonizing over our anxiety, dissatisfaction, and worry. Our heads are full of thousands of unhelpful thoughts that we have to push through to get anything done.
I had this thought too. It just seemed as though my head was full already, my day was full too. Where was I going to get the time?
THRIVE now! Living with anxiety or a phobia is like taking a walk with a ball chained to your leg. We suggest that as little as 30 minutes of work every day can work. With a little practice, the “homework” exercises can be integrated into everyday life. In fact, that is the end goal, to make these new ways of thinking second nature and NOT hard work!
“It seems like a lot of money, and I have just had to buy a new PC for my work.” Jack works from home because he does not like to leave the house. He needs that PC, but think of the return on investment if for the price of a decent PC he could he happy, healthy and fulfilled!

The Thrive Programme is not therapy. It is not counseling. There is no exposure therapy. The Thrive Programme is a training program, and the Thrive consultant is the coach. We coach you to take control of your thinking, change your limiting beliefs, and create helpful ways of thinking to replace the unhelpful ones. You literally learn a new way of approaching life.

However much you want to be rid of your fears and anxieties, it can be hard after a lifetime of experience, to even imagine what it is like to be phobia- and anxiety-free. That is where your coach can really help.

THRIVE now! Once clients are going through the program, clients often mention how it is hard to remember what life was like with the phobia. They know intellectually that in the past they could not do something, but now it is second nature! For example, I know that I used to be terrified of presenting in public for DAYS before it was time to do so. Now, I don’t think about it until the hour before. I cannot recall what it felt like to worry so far in advance. It no longer makes sense to me that I would have been so anxious for so long.
“What if I try it and I fail – again?” This is a training course, a process of education – but there are no tests! There is nothing to fail. You decide what the goals are, and you decide when you have learned enough.
THRIVE now! Although we say the program typically takes 6-8 weeks, there is no reason anyone has to be “typical”. If it takes longer that is fine. As long as you are putting the effort in, you will succeed in relearning your thinking.
