Psychologist Elaine Fox from the University of Essex explores optimism and pessimism and the effect on well-being.  Professor Fox reveals in her book Rainy Brain, Sunny Brain how having one personality type or the other can affect your health and prospects. Having an internal locus of control not only helps you to have a better life mentally but also physically. The work of Elaine Fox reinforces the research that underpins The Thrive Programme.
