What are ‘ME’ (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis), ‘CFS’ (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and ‘PVTS’ (Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome)?
The three illnesses named above are very similar, and they have devastating effects on the sufferer.

For the ease of writing this page and because going through The Thrive Progamme is the same – regardless of what symptoms you have – we’ll group them all under the collective name of ‘CFS’.
CFS causes persistent fatigue (exhaustion) that affects everyday life and doesn’t disappear or lessen with sleep or rest.
Main Symptoms of CFS
The main symptom of CFS is persistent physical and mental exhaustion.
Most people with CFS describe this fatigue as overwhelming and a different type of tiredness from what they’ve experienced before.
Exercising can make symptoms worse. This is called post-exertion malaise, or “payback”. The effect of this is sometimes delayed – for example, if you were to play a game of sport, the resulting fatigue may not develop until a few hours afterwards, or even the next day.
People with severe CFS are unable to do any activities themselves or can only carry out simple daily tasks, such as brushing their teeth. They’re sometimes confined to their bed and are often unable to leave their house
Due to the stressful and debilitating nature of CFS, it tends to cause other symptoms and problems as well, such as:
muscle pain, joint pain, headaches, problems with memory, IBS, sleeping problems, depression, anxiety, balance problems and certain food intolerances.
